Jump into the Digiadventure workbook! The Digiseikkailu product family offers teachers clear and easy-to-use materials for teaching ICT and media literacy skills. In Digiadventure's Stories and Tasks workbook, students think about various everyday situations with the media. From the pictures of the stories and the vocabulary collected in the workbook, it is easy to understand how the topic is related to your own life and to transfer the skill into practice through joint discussion. ICT and media skills teaching is centered on the language of the information industry: the concepts and vocabulary used to talk about issues in the field. The material supports the teacher and thus guides towards language-aware teaching. The material is suitable as a separate workbook for e.g. Finnish language and literature classes and as ready-made material for TVT and media skills clubs or elective courses. Also in class work with their own group, the class teacher can use the handout of the notebook when reviewing basic information about netiquette, information acquisition, communication skills, suitable screen time, fake news and information security. The notebook is best suited for working with children who have already achieved fluent reading skills. Happy moments with the workbook! Digiadventure Future skills with stories.
The workbook contains a board game that strengthens multi-literacy and 10 stories about empathy, technology and media skills. Each story includes vocabulary, questions to think about together, and pen-and-paper tasks. In the stories and tasks, the student mirrors media and technology skills through everyday situations and repeats the learned concept by doing tasks. With the digital adventure learning environment, the subject can be deepened with tasks related to the story from the characters' worlds, e.g. in Api's hut and Tweety's message wall.
